This book was excellent , easy to read and understand . I am not particularly tech savvy and whipped up my websites years ago and put little thought into how I did them . This book really opened my eyes to all the things I had done wrong , omitted or didn?t follow up on . The book is packed with tools and information resources to really help me get things going in the right direction . I was quick to chalk up my low interent business sales on a lousy economy , but after reading this book and only checking out a few stats , I realized that the bigger issue wasn?t the economy but rather the fact that no one was finding my site ! I can?t wait to start applying their suggestions, tips and techniques to clean up my site and get my business back on track . Even for people that think that they know all there is to know about SEO or feel their online business is doing well , I think this book will serve as a valuable business tool , well worth the read and a value for the amount of information you get !! Thanks so much for writing this book !!

Solid information on how to launch an online presence.

This book is a very good resource for anyone who is considering launching an online business. It?s also a very good resource for anyone who has an online presence but needs to be reminded of how to survive in an ever-changing cyber universe. This book is not solely about SEO as the name implies, it?s also about the steps needed to achieve a successful online business launch.

My favorite chapter is chapter 4 which deals with key word identification and definition, and such critical-to-SEO-success topics as Meta tags, HTML headings, and creating fresh content. I also enjoyed Chapter 6 which focused on social networking. That said, the book as a whole served to reinforce other SEO and website building strategies critical to any successful online presence.

Ideas you can implement immediately ? Great Resource!

By Gail O?Rourke

With the 4th quarter of 2011 winding down and excited with anticipation of a new year, I was determined to work hard at positioning myself and my company effectively at the launch of 2012. I purchased SEO Manifesto hoping it would put me on the right path to start better optimizing my website. I built my website over 10 years ago and after reading this book, I realized how much has changed in the last decade. SEO Manifesto gave me a clear picture of what the internet was like today for businesses. I understood that the marketing strategies I have employed in the past needed to be updated, revitalized and refreshed. I was energized to get started and I was able to take IMMEDIATE action to get my website more searchable, more findable and have a better web presence. I headed out to make a name for myself on social networks, find accurate and effective keywords and also learned that organic marketing was not something I was going to find at the grocery store!

The appendix of the book provides simple, easy to use checklists which helped me implement my new marketing strategy. The appendix also had the links to the resources that I could use for free that would boost my traffic and put me in places where my past and future customers would find me. I am tracking my progress through click, reports and data and I have already received three sales leads in the first week with just a few changes. Thanks Dan and Pam!

FANTASTIC guide to SEO

Not only is this book wonderful for learning and improving SEO for your website, it?s also easy to read. It?s very down to earth for all to understand and NOT loaded with a bunch of ?technical speak? that you?d need a degree to understand. I recommend this book for EVERYONE!

SEO Manifesto is exactly what I needed!

?January 10, 2012

By Jan

The SEO Manifesto is exactly what I needed to bring my website to the next level. Having built two new websites in 2011, I really needed to step back, evaluate and fine tune what I had done thus far with my websites ~ I needed the expertise of the authors of the SEO Manifesto to bring my SEO efforts to the next level. The SEO Manifesto was written in a clear and concise manner that was easy to follow. I appreciate that each chapter is devoted to a new set of tasks, all in proper action order with corresponding checklists that make it easy to follow and complete action items in the correct order. Of particular note, Chapters 4 and 6 were extra useful ~ Chapter 4 taught me to revisit my existing website and analyze it with SEO in mind. I then was able to follow the author?s suggestions and make appropriate updates to my site?s content and structure in order to better optimize the site for search engine optimization. After I was able to follow the SEA Manifesto?s recommendations and enhance my site, I was then able to follow their detailed networking guide in chapter 6 and better network my newly updated site. I have already seen some immediate results and am thankful for the suggestions and guidance that I received in this book.

This book was so helpful! It is full of technical information but the authors made it very easy to read and understand?..amazing to a non-tech person like me. I liked their step-by-step approach and examples. It?s a great resource. I have already recommended it to several friends and co-workers with side businesses.

The SEO Manifesto is Excellent

By Myrtieshuman

I would highly recommend this book for anyone who has, or is thinking of starting, an online business. The SEO Manifesto is just what I?ve been searching for. My business online would probably be classified as at the hobby stage. I was looking for a book to help me assess what I?ve done so far, try redo some things, and optimize work done in the future. The book is excellently written and helps you analyze your site step by step, in a logical sequence. It is written very clearly and concisely and is easily understood by someone who would not consider herself a techie. I was pleasantly surprised in the early chapters to find that I had intuitively done some things right. I am confident this book is going to help me more efficiently use time spent on my business in the future. I am so thankful to Pam and Dan for taking the time to write this excellent guide to help many of us learn from their experience. I also bought a copy for a niece who is thinking of setting up a business online in the near future. She was also very happy to find this book and thought the information was just what she needed. It might look small but this book is packed with incredibly useful material. Unlike some other books I?ve looked at, this one is all information and no fluff! It gets right to the point and is very easy to follow. I especially like the checklist in the front of each chapter. It helps me to keep focused and on track. I?ve been in the computer field for over 25 years and this is without a doubt the most informative book I?ve read on SEO. From how to properly use meta tags to keeping your bounce rate low, this book has what it takes to help get you to the top of Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines. I would recommend this to anyone looking to increase traffic to their website

Food And Drink ? How To Cook With Slow-Cooking Method?

People around the world consider that preparing healthy meals are quite difficult.? Alternatively, many chefs, nutrition specialists and cooking experts keep trying to remind us that preparing healthy meals is not difficult. ??All we have to understand, according to them, is the basic of nutritious cooking.

The quality of food and the nutrition it gives us only comes from the good, healthy ingredients used to prepare our meals. ?Once we understand this, we have to create an advance menu plan and serve only fresh food or food-stuff to prevent re-heating. ?Re-heating destroys the nutritive value of foods and also tampers with original taste. ?As a suggestion, we?d better to cover all the food with plastic wrap before string in the refrigerator to prevent mixing of flavours. ?Food is to be used not only as a source of calories but also as nourishment to grow, maintain and repair tissues of the body and also prevent disease.

Because we are also have to cope with practicality and timing problem, it seems there is no option for us to do except to process the food by using slow-cooking method. ?Slow cooking is a way to enjoy great-tasting meals with minimum amount of effort. This budget-friendly cooking method takes tougher cuts of meat and turns them into hearty, flavorsome meals. ?Eventhough they usually have such a long cooking time, slow-cooked dishes require relatively short preparation times. ?What we have to do is just put all the food stuff in the pot. Turn it on low. Walk away for hours, and the meals will be ready on our return.

The long slow cooking will also soften the connective tissue without toughening the muscle. ?Slow cooking leaves the gelatinised tissue in the meat, so that it may be advantageous to start with a richer liquid.? The low temperature of slow-cooking also makes it impossible to burn food even if cooked too long.? In term of practicality, cooking the meal in a single pot reduces washing up, and the low cooking temperature and glazed pot make cleaning easy.

Of course there are so many recipes can be converted to a slow cooking method. ?Soups and stews, of course, are natural slowcooker favorites. ?Casseroles and most meats benefit from the low temperatures and even cooking heat.

Many slow-cookers available in the market now, but to make sure that your slow cooking method creates only quality meals, it is recommended for you to use the Instant Pot-LUX60.? This is the 6-in-1 programmable cooker, perfectly combining a rice-cooker, pressure-cooker, slow-cooker as well as steamer and heater.? ?We can use this machine during weekdays, while on the weekend, we can get back to the Cuisinart CGG180.? ?

Where Can You Find Good Feedback On Different Web Hosts ...

It is not easy to find a good web host, but you can now use a web hosting comparison to make easier decisions. If you are hoping to set up a website on your own domain, you will need to find a company that will provide web hosting, and that can be a daunting task. You will need to contract by month or year with a company you have never heard of before. The costs can be high and if you make a mistake, transferring your site to another host is a time consuming business.

Even if you have several years? experience of web hosting, when it is time to upgrade to a different level of service you may be a little lost. Maybe you are a bit dissatisfied with your host and think you would be happier somewhere else. Or, it is possible that they are unable to deliver a product you currently need.

You can go on line to read reviews others have posted about different web hosts. It is worth keeping in mind, however, that many web hosting companies offer a commission to anybody who refers a new customer to them. This unfortunately means that the person posting a good review could be paid by the web host.

In many cases of course they will still give an honest review, especially if they are reviewing several web hosts side by side to provide a web hosting comparison. An honest review will include strengths and weaknesses of a host, and will also indicate which businesses would mostly benefit from signing up and which wouldn?t.

Online forums that focus on Internet businesses are another good place to find comparisons. You can ask different visitors which host they are using, and you can also ask if they can suggest one that seems right for your needs.

Some forums discussing website hosting are also good for finding criteria that will enable you to compare hosts. Web hosting talk is one of them. This one forum is an independent one where people meet to discuss issues they have with their own hosts.

While the majority of the threads are about technical issues, some are about different hosts and their performances. They can be useful, as long as you consider the fact that they were written by a person expressing their own opinion. They may have expectations and needs very different than your own.

Occasionally, representatives of host companies check in to respond to criticism. It can be very useful to see how they deal with issues here. Since you are not able to check on their technical support unless you sign up, you should at least get a glimpse of the company?s integrity by seeing how their representative responds to harsh criticism and complaints. This can be one of the best ways of building up a useful web hosting comparison.

SXSW Film Fest Full Of Chills, Thrills And Tears Of Laughter

MTV News wraps up the highlights of the Austin, Texas, festival including our favorite celebrity interviews.
By Kara Warner

AUSTIN, Texas — Although the South by Southwest Music Festival is just getting started, the film portion of the annual music, arts and interactive gathering in Austin, Texas, is coming to an end. It was too short a trip for our tastes, but we were able to cram in an awful lot of film coverage during our time within the city limits. Before we get to the highlights from SXSW Film Fest '12, here's a compilation of our interviewees' humorous commentary regarding the best and worst things about SXSW.

"The great thing about SXSW is the proliferation of beautiful young men all over the city," deadpanned Nick Offerman. "Now that the sun's out we're going to be seeing some shirts come off. This is a modern film we've made," he said of his film, "Somebody Up There Likes Me," trying to tie it to his answer. "Nature is beautiful."

"#1: It's in Austin, that's the best," said Johnny Knoxville. "The Fest feels like it's picking up steam every year."

"There was one day where from around 11 a.m. 'til whenever I went to bed I think I had — I counted — 28 beers," "21 Jump Street" star Jonah Hill recalled of his first boozy experience at the festival a few years back. "I was never drunk, it was such a long period of time, there was a good old buzz thing going on for 20 hours."

"My favorite thing so far is waiting in line with other people," admitted "Jump Street" co-director Chris Miller. "At first it was driving me crazy, but ... you're there for an hour with people who all like the same stuff and have a much cooler conversation there than you would in a bar."

"The cons of SXSW are all the beautiful young women getting in the way of looking at all the beautiful young men," Offerman continued. "Prancing about, tossing their hair like they're all that. They're not."

With those pros and cons in mind, let's get back to our film-focused journey in Austin, which we began with the Joss Whedon-scripted, Drew Goddard-directed festival opener, "The Cabin in the Woods." Although it is a traditional horror film with "thrilling deaths," it's a crowd-pleaser nonetheless.

Then came the twisted thriller "Killer Joe," which features many an opportunity for awkward laughter and smooth-talkin' Matthew McConaughey as a killer-for-hire, followed by a surprise appearance from Mark Wahlberg during Seth MacFarlane's "A Conversation With" panel, which led to a very casual interview about Wahlberg's acting skills and falling in love with a teddy bear. After that, we walked down a dark childhood memory lane with "Nature Calls" director Todd Rohal and stars Johnny Knoxville and Rob Riggle.

We spent time with skateboarding legend Danny Way during his surprise visit to a local skate park, and tried not to laugh ourselves to tears during chats with "Small Apartments" scene-stealer Matt Lucas and deadpan comedy ace Nick Offerman when he told us the best thing about his buzzworthy film, "Somebody Up There Likes Me" is the fact that he gets naked onscreen. We're still not sure he was telling the truth, but it was hilarious nonetheless.

Our final day of film-related action involved a visit to "21 Jump Street" with stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, who revealed the project's special ties to SXSW, as well as their reactions to finally seeing the finished film with an audience.

We chatted up Fabianne Therese, the star of the recently picked-up home invasion thriller "The Aggression Scale," who accidentally put her hand through a glass window during filming and resulted in the filmmakers writing it into the script. And then we caught up with the men of "Extracted," an intriguing film about a man who invents a way to watch people's memories from inside their minds and then gets trapped within a criminal's mind.

"I think [the movie] means something to everybody," director Nir Paniry said. "To me, it's a film about regret and how one memory means something to somebody else and one memory means something to another person. Memories are not finite records, they're organic, they can be manipulated, but they're specific to the person. Your memory of something is not my memory of something."

"It's life. All these things that are universal and timeless," added star Sasha Roiz. "Trying to confront your past or changing your course of life, redemption. These two men are basically sitting in their own purgatory, one is stuck in a cell, one is stuck in the mind of another man. There all these wonderful themes that bubble to the surface.

And although it's not technically film-related, we spent some time with Lena Dunham, the star/creator/executive producer of HBO's heavily hyped new series "Girls," which she promises is grounded in reality and deals with the drama of modern romantic relationships.

All in all, our experience was fun-filled, if a tad bit exhausting. For those of you hankering to see the films in our lineup, the good news is that several of them are headed to theaters or small screens near you.

"21 Jump Street" opened everywhere Friday (March 16); "Cabin in the Woods" hits theaters April 13; "Girls" premieres on HBO April 15, followed by the DVD/Blu-Ray release of "The Aggression Scale" on May 29. Seth MacFarlane's live-action debut "Ted" hits theaters July 13.

Stick with MTV News for news about the fest's other buzzworthy entries, "Somebody Up There Likes Me," "Killer Joe" and "Extracted."

Romney, allies launch ad war for Illinois primary

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - In the wild race for the Republican presidential nomination, there has been one constant: When Mitt Romney really needs to do well in a state, he and his allies pour money into ads, most of which attack his rivals.

Romney's big-spending tactics battered Newt Gingrich into a fourth-place finish in Iowa, and helped Romney win key contests in New Hampshire, Florida, Nevada, Michigan and Ohio.

Now, the former Massachusetts governor and his allies have invested nearly $5 million on the next big prize in the state-by-state race for the Republican nomination: Illinois, which will hold its primary on Tuesday. Most of the spending will go toward ads that attack Rick Santorum, now Romney's chief rival.

Romney's campaign, which spent nearly $19 million in January, has spent almost $1 million on cable and broadcast ads mostly in the Chicago area, according to a Republican media buyer who also tracks campaign advertising.

It appears Illinois' primary also could become the latest example of the dramatic impact that independent "Super PACs" are having on the 2012 campaign.

Restore Our Future, a political action committee that supports Romney and has spent well over $30 million on campaign ads - largely attacking Gingrich or Santorum - has reported spending $3.7 million on anti-Santorum ads that have aired mostly in the Chicago area, the media buyer said.

Santorum and Gingrich, who have battled to be the more conservative alternative to Romney, have lagged far behind him in fundraising.

At the end of February, Romney's campaign said it had raised nearly $75 million. Santorum's indicated it had raised about $16 million. Gingrich's campaign has not revealed its February haul, but it had raised just more than $18 million by the end of January, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Campaigns are limited to donations of $2,500 from individuals during the primary season, and another $2,500 for the November 6 election, when the Republican nominee will face Democratic President Barack Obama.

Super PACS, on the other hand, can receive unlimited donations. During the nomination battle, a few very wealthy donors have propped up PACs supporting Gingrich and Santorum, allowing those candidates to fire back when they came under attack from Romney and his allies.

Winning Our Future, a pro-Gingrich PAC, raised $13.1 million through the end of January - including nearly $11 million from the family of Sheldon Adelson, a Las Vegas casino mogul.

Adelson appears to have donated an unspecified amount in February, but with Gingrich fading in the race, it is unclear whether Adelson will be willing to continue the financial support.

The Red, White and Blue Fund, a pro-Santorum PAC, raised $2.8 million through the end of January - including $2 million from Wyoming investor Foster Friess and Global Industries founder William Dore.

A PRIORITY FOR ROMNEY

Illinois, Obama's home state, is more politically moderate than Southern states where Romney has struggled to attract support from conservatives. The state is also likely to be key in the November election.

That has helped make it a priority for Romney, who held a slim lead over Santorum, a former U.S. senator from Pennsylvania, in a recent Chicago Tribune/WGN poll of Illinois voters.

None of the other campaigns has had a presence on Illinois TV screens yet.

Winning Our Future, the pro-Gingrich PAC, has spent about $17,600 on Internet and radio ads there.

The pro-Santorum Red, White and Blue Fund is weighing its options for Illinois, said Stuart Roy, who advises the group. He said the PAC had bought $260,000 worth of ads in Louisiana, a conservative state in the South that votes on March 24.

That is in addition to about $30,000 in cable TV ads that Santorum's campaign has purchased in Louisiana, according to the Republican media buyer.

"The challenge (in Illinois) is it's an expensive state (for advertising), but I expect that (Santorum) not only has a chance to be competitive there but he will be very competitive," Roy said.

Romney's Super PAC allies have invested about $537,000 in TV and direct-mail ads in Louisiana. The total is likely to rise because most of the ads ran through the early part of this week, the media buyer said.

Gingrich's campaign has not had much of a presence on the airwaves recently, a sign the former U.S. House of Representatives speaker's effort could be running low on money.
