Two former union leaders accused of padding worker hours during Walker recall

MILWAUKEE - An investigation is underway into two former union bosses accused of using the recall effort against Governor Walker to steal from its national arm.The report says an investigation into the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 998, which represents bus drivers in Milwaukee County, is finding evidence of financial abuse. Two of the Union's former bosses are accused of overstating the number of hours staffers were working on the Walker recall, according to the Journal Sentinel's Dan Bice. The national union was reimbursing those hours, and the report alleges the local union would claim that an employee had worked more hours than they actually did, and then pocketed the difference. The two accused of the crime are also accused of credit card abuses.
